James Thomson, Director.  Dr. James Thomson (Jamie), the inventor of human embryonic stem cells, is one of the founders of Stem Cell Products.  He is also one of the founders of Cellular Dynamics International, and serves as a Director and its Chief Scientific Officer.  Jamie has a bachelors in biophysics, a degree in veterinary medicine and a Ph.D. in molecular biology.  Following a post-doctoral position at the Oregon Primate Research Center and a residency at the UW School of Veterinary medicine, Jamie moved to the Wisconsin Regional Primate Research Center where he created the first human embryonic stem cell lines.  He is currently the John D. MacArthur professor of anatomy in the UW Medical School and Scientific Director of the WiCell Research institute.

Dr. Dong Chen, Director.  Dr Dong Chen is currently a medical resident at the UW-Madison and next year will be a resident at the May Clinic.  Dr. Chen has a PhD and an M.D. Dr. Chen research at the UW has focused on the production of platelets and he is a co-inventor of the in vitro platelet production system.

Dr. Igor Slukvin, Director.  Dr. Igor Slukvin is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the UW-Madison Medical School.  Dr. Slukvin research focus is the development of systems to culture hematopoietic precursors and red blood cells from human ES cells.  Dr. Sluvin holds and M.D. and a PhD.
